Most organizations use an applicant tracking platform
Applicant tracking systems (ATS) remain a staple for recruitment, with more than two-thirds of respondents saying that they use one. Employee referral platforms are also becoming popular, with nearly half (42%) of all organizations in our survey using one.
At the other end of the scale, employee advocacy platforms are in use in only 11% of organizations. Still relatively new in the recruitment area, employee advocacy platforms are technology solutions that help organizations to implement employee advocacy programs. These programs enable employees to share communications and content with those outside the organization, increase employer brand awareness and amplify the organization's messages.
Most organizations want technologies with improved job title search functionality
We asked HR professionals and recruitment experts what they would most like to see from job advertising technologies. Nearly one in three say they would like job advertising technology with a “better ability to match job titles with searches.” Given the wide variety of titles connected to similar jobs, many recruiters report frustration with how hard it can be to successfully search for candidates with the right set of qualifications.
Almost half of our respondents also mentioned the need for “better skills assessments” (47%). Again, the desire is to more easily locate and hire people with the right skill sets needed to fill open positions.
